After getting drunk and disorderly at her ex-boyfriend's wedding, Dr. Mindy Lahiri realizes she needs to get her personal and professional life back on track.

When Mindy is tasked with hiring a new nurse, she chooses Morgan (Ike Barinholtz), a reformed ex-convict; Jeremy tests his breakup skills when he fires a problematic, elderly nurse.

When Shauna takes the office to the hottest nightclub in town, Mindy meets an unlikely potential suitor named Josh, who works as a lawyer for the New York Knicks. Meanwhile, Jeremy attempts to hit on a bride-to-be, and Morgan unexpectedly makes some extra cash as the club's bathroom attendant.

When Josh invites Mindy to a Halloween party, Mindy stresses out about finding the perfect costume to impress him. Meanwhile, Danny and Jeremy leave work early to finally take their driver's license tests, much to Danny's embarrassment.

When Mindy must find a new gynecologist, she asks Danny to assume the role. Eventually, he accepts - on the grounds that Mindy will feel too uncomfortable to go through with the exam. The two then play a game of chicken to see who will back out of the deal first. Meanwhile, Jeremy tricks Morgan and Betsy into helping him break into Mindy's apartment to retrieve a valuable item.

Mindy decides to cook Thanksgiving dinner at Gwen's house, but she is completely caught off guard when her former blind date, Dennis, arrives with his new girlfriend. Meanwhile, a lonely Danny mans the empty office while Betsy and Jeremy visit Betsy's eccentric family for the holiday.

Mindy and Casey's blissful time in Haiti is cut short when Mindy gets sick and is airlifted back to New York; Dr. Paul Leotard (James Franco), Schulman & Associates' new resident OB/GYN, shares sex therapy advice with Christina and Danny.

As Mindy adjusts to her long-distance relationship with Casey, she also must adjust to the fact that she is no longer the office's "Dr. L" - her office, patients and dignity have been overtaken by Dr. Paul Leotard - so she challenges Paul to get her former life back. Meanwhile, Danny has a new extracurricular activity following his breakup with Christina.

After returning from Haiti, Casey has an identity crisis and thinks being a disc jockey might be his new calling. When Mindy and the office go to a music festival for their “work retreat” to see Casey perform, the substance-filled surroundings lead to a series of disasters. Meanwhile, back in New York, Jeremy hires a new doctor, whom Mindy doesn’t particularly like after he saves the day during an emergency delivery.

According to Morgan, anyone who sleeps with him will find the love of their life immediately afterward. Curious to test this theory, Mindy takes Morgan up on his offer, but backs out at the last minute, humiliating Morgan and prompting him to sue Mindy for sexual harassment. In order to get out of the lawsuit and get back into Morgan's good graces, Mindy makes him an offer he can't refuse.

Mindy hits it off with a journalist named Jason, but Jason is a bit snobbish and finds Mindy to be too mainstream. To show that she's more cultured than he thinks, Mindy invites Jason to Christina's art show, where nude photos of Danny are on display.

Mindy's excited to join the guys for a "boy's night out" at MoMA, but quickly realizes she misunderstood their plans: They're not going to the museum, they're going to an MMA fight and Mindy couldn't be further out of her element.

It is the beginning of 'firsts' for Mindy and Danny, as they try to set new relationship boundaries for each other in the office. Meanwhile, things get a little complicated when Jeremy tries to organize a charity event with Peter's girlfriend, Lauren.

Mindy strives to impress Danny's mom when she comes to the city for a visit. Meanwhile, Morgan tries to stand his ground in his relationship with Tamra.

Tax troubles inspire Mindy tries to rekindle a phony relationship with Cliff.

Mindy searches for relationship advice that ends up raising more questions than answers.

Mindy kisses a girl and doesn't like it while the boys play beer pong with Shonda Rhimes.

Since Danny won’t propose, Mindy dreams of married life with the perfect man. Meanwhile, Danny tries to stop Mindy’s parents from marrying her off to an eligible Indian bachelor.

Danny and a very pregnant Mindy cannot agree on a birthing plan, but these ob-gyns are reminded that some things are totally out of their control.

Mindy’s attempt to liven up her maternity leave leads to excitement, danger, and a big fight with Danny. Tamra spreads some hot gossip about Jeremy’s new girlfriend.

Mindy brings her baby to work only to discover that her newest co-worker is not very baby (or Mindy) friendly.

Mindy struggles to be the perfect stay-at-home mom, and decides to give Danny a shot at the job. Meanwhile, Morgan gets an unlikely girlfriend.

Danny is forced to take Morgan on a road trip to California. They make a surprise stop.

After Jody tries to win Mindy’s heart by buying her an apartment, Mindy is torn between her old love, Danny, and a relationship with Jody. Tamra is suspicious about Mindy’s trip to Miami so she and Colette go undercover to figure out what really happened.

While Mindy struggles to take care of a sick Leo, Shulman & Associates is rocked by a nurses’ strike led by Ben, a handsome male nurse. Meanwhile, Jody tries to sell the upstairs apartment and Brendan Deslaurier comes to Mindy seeking help.

The nurses’ strike continues, while Mindy finds herself having romantic feelings for the enemy – Ben, the leader of the nurses. As the doctors and nurses try to stay strong, Jeremy finds that the stress is taking a serious toll on his health.

As Jeremy recovers from his heart attack, the practice needs another doctor. Jeremy and Jody want to hire a woman, but Mindy isn’t sure about sharing the spotlight. Meanwhile, she and Ben are getting serious.

When Mindy discovers that her new boyfriend isn’t being exclusive, she goes on a date with a famous actor aka “the bad boy of London theater.” The nurses try to cheer up Jody, who’s lost his mojo, and discover he might be planning something drastic.

Mindy escapes to her childhood home in Massachusetts and discovers that her mom is using dubious methods to further her acting career in local theater. As Mindy and Rishi try to intervene, she learns that Danny is having doubts about marrying Sarah.

Shulman & Associates is buzzing with drama! As Mindy adjusts to married life with Ben, Jeremy tries to take things to the next level with Anna, while Tamra makes a life-changing decision.

Mindy and Ben’s relationship is put to the test when Ben gets an interview for a job in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, Anna gets the girls of the office together for an ill-fated girls’ night where Tamra realizes she might have feelings for a co-worker.

Jeremy’s hosting a party the office is actually excited for! Adding to the intrigue, Mindy invites a handsome stranger who has an unexpected interest in Shulman and Associates. Jody competes with a beautiful doctor after she steals one of his patients.

Shulman and Associates is turned upside down when Mindy hires a down-on-his-luck Brendan Deslaurier. Meanwhile, rumours fly about who's the father of Tamra's baby.
