Martha Speaks - Season 2

The president wants a canine companion, so Martha recommends several of her neighborhood pals. But it's Martha who's summoned to the White House when one of the president's aides learns that she can speak.

Helen's dad recalls the important part that Martha played on the day that baby Jake was born. Later, Martha is inspired to become a sled dog after hearing a story about a heroic Alaskan sled dog.

Alice prepares for an oral report in Spanish with help from Martha and some Mexican alphabet soup; TD wants to learn animal languages in order to become an animal linguist.

TD's too involved with his comic books about evil space cats invading a planet of dogs to work on a school project about the solar system. Later Martha dreams about being an alien canine.

Martha empathizes with Truman, who fears his mom won't think he's special now that she's caring for the babies at her day care; Martha teaches TD's little cousin CD how to be behave with dogs.

Martha holds a dog circus to raise cash after she eats the cookies meant for a school fund-raiser; Martha investigates when the usually grumpy Mrs. Demson is suddenly friendly, cheerful and fun.
