Barzakh - Season 1

Once a determined young man wanting to prove his love to his sweetheart, aged Jafar Khanzada built Mahtab Mahal on the bones of his community. Upon invitation, his estranged sons arrive to attend their reclusive father's final wedding, one to this old sweetheart of his.

Jafar Khanzada, Shehryar, and Haaris join Scheherezade for a trek up the mountain but she separates to give the father and son space, encountering a mysterious entity. Saifullah feels haunted by his past and stays back, beginning a friendship with the chef, Lorenzo.

Scheherezade agrees to take Shehryar and Haaris with her on a secret trip to the village. Shehryar talks to his uncle while Scheherezade visits the local shaman, who guides her to a journey to the past. Saifullah sees his father become erratic.

The family and villagers gather for their respective Mehregan feasts. The Khanzada men embark on a magical trip to their past, organized by Scheherezade. Haaris leaves for the mountains.

Jabbar and the villagers make their way to Mahtab Mahal to negotiate the reopening of the atrium and stop JK from reaching the summit for his ceremony. Supernatural intervention ensues.

JK and Jabbar, tied to the tree, visit their past. Shehryar and Scheherezade make their way up the mountain, where the fairies arrive and reveal her true identity. The Khanzada family reunites.
