After an exciting chase it doesn't seem to be a normal offender. Meanwhile Gwennie is missing since a week. Wim is certain Tom has something to do with her disappearance. He's not the only one who thinks about it like that.

Tom is suspended, being Internal Affairs's suspect for the disappearance of his cop party-flirt, Gwen Callens. Antwerp boy scout troop masters Max and Jelle Dhondt, brothers and Laurens report the disappearance of unpopular, difficult loner Bram, who was tied up near the rising stream for a game, or rather as implicit punishment. The team soon discovers there was more going on in the troop, involving girl scout Julie. More violence is at hand.

A night-watcher of the Rubenhuis, Antwerp's splendid baroque museum, has been murdered at night. The intruder probably came trough a hatch to the old sewage system. Lucas is on FBI forensic training course. Team Tom works out the tensions between museum staff and the significance of selective theft from its un-exhibited paintings collection, both reaching back into history.

Sandrine Pauwels Pauwel throws out her husband Bert Nijs's things and him, then claims 40 year-old surgery professor Han Wuyts's car, which hits Bert on the road right there, meant to kill, although he got fatally injured himself. His widow, nurse Margot, denies he knew Bert and knows no enemies, nor did Han care for art, although his trunk contains a valuable painting by Lievens. Catholic curate René Delandsheer reports the theft of his parish church's valuable black Madonna. Most mentioned suspect is rascal Dede, of African descent. Shortly after, the boy is found under the bell tower after a fatal fall. But it was a mere fall down the stairs that killed him, so probably covered-up murder. After an old secret is found out, a confession is made, which Tom firmly disbelieves. Meanwhile Mike and Jimmy hunt down a fake uniformed cop.

A possibly fake motorbike pizza deliverer beats Herman De Bruin cripple with an iron bar. Same MO fails to hurt nightclub bouncer Berre Verdonck. Openly promiscuous gay Sylvain Bosteels however is beaten to death. He extorted many small businesses by raising rent on the buildings he owned and accepted 'payment in kind' by hunky debtors, or in ugly pizzeria-owner Willy Peeters's case suggested his sexy son and deliverer Kevin. Tom meanwhile worries about his ma's possibly reviving affair with limping first-ever lover Marcel, and finds an apparent link.

Two teenagers find a substantial amount of drugs and decide to sell it in clubs. They do not know that drugs are part of a criminal transaction. The drug lord wants his wares back and opens the hunt for the teens. Soon there is a victim. Tom Segers and Fien Bosvoorde make an investigation. Meanwhile, there comes an alarming message at the office of Zone Stad. An unknown reports that he will commit suicide on the roof across the Oudaan.

The office of Zone Stad has been shot. A young agent was hit with serious injuries and is taken to the hospital. Was the student himself the target or was he at a bad time in the bad place? Tom Segers and Fien Bosvoorde want to find out and with their research the discover a web of prostitution and weapons. Meanwhile, a second attack follows.

In broad daylight a gun shop gets robbed. The perpetrators shoot the owner and steal a whole arsenal of weapons. The team of Zone Stad starts an investigation that brings them in the kick boxing environment. The sportive agent Mike Van Peel will infiltrate to solve the case.

A young man shoots on fire when he wants to light his cigarette. He dies of his injuries. If it appears that the victim was a fireman and later a fellow female firefighter is severely beaten, it is clear that it is not a coincidence. Tom Segers and Fien Bosvoorde start their search for the culprit in the fire station.

The famous architect and collector Johan De Bruyn is murdered with his own crossbow. It looks like a failed burglary. Tom Segers and Fien Bosvoorde leave this track when they find out that the wife of De Bruyn was cheating on him. The inspectors decide to sow discord between the lovers to solve the case.

Banker Peter and his housewife Chantal Mailleux report an unknown man's failed attempt to abduct kid daughter Marthe from their garden. The culprit is sound identified as Yannick Martens, boyfriend of their estranged adult daughter, prostitute Esther. Next day, Yannick is found murdered, skull smashed, and Esther claims Peter sexually abused his girls. Rivals Tom and Lucas suspect Esther's burly pimp, Axel Verlei, and her parents. Fien visits Tom and asks him to go back to work. He refuses, definitely now he remembers that he killed his own father. Meanwhile Fien and Lucas are called to a motel room for a cruel double murder.

In the middle of the night a young boy witnesses the murder of a prostitute. The next morning he is brought to the police station, after being found by a passerby. When little Lode makes a drawing of the murder, Tom and Fien start an investigation. Meanwhile Mike tells his colleague Jimmy that he is willing to get engaged. Jimmy also has big news: he will take part in the admission tests for the SWAT team. Tom thinks someone is planning to kill him.

The janitor of the local soccer stadium discovers a body which hands were amputated post mortem. Tom and Fien think about a ritual murder or a link with Mexican drug cartels, but Lucas thinks they are looking to far. He meanwhile asks pathologist Lathouwers why Tom wants him to secretly investigate a weapon. Fien notices Tom has a growing drinking problem and warns him for the possible consequences.

Dirk Van de Vijver is trapped blindfolded in a basement. When his business partner Carl Verswyfelt receives a envelop carrying one of Dirk's fingers and a letter which requests 200,000 euros ransom, Tom and Fien are put on the case. They soon discover that Van de Vijver embezzled money from different clients and think maybe one of them is now using this cruel way to get his or her money back. Meanwhile Lucas asks Jimmy to spy on Tom in order to find out more about his private investigation.

Soccer trainer Franky De Maeyer gets beaten into coma in the locker room. Fien stands alone when she is called to the scene, because Tom prefers spending his free time with Inez. Fien discovers Franky must have felt himself threatened, as he had recently requested a gun permission. But who was after him and why? Lucas confronts Tom with his private investigation. Mike is once again doing shady businesses and fears that it will now only take hours for his colleagues to find out.

While Marijke Wijnant is taking a shower, her boyfriend Kris Vervecken gets brutally killed in their living room. Both worked as officers in the army and so Tom and Fien go to the barracks to look for a starting point. They soon find one in person of Dieter Landuyt, a newcomer who felt humiliated after his baptism by "the fantastic four", a group of close friends consisting of Kris and his colleagues Steven, Rudy and Bruno. Meanwhile Seppe tells Inez that the Alva-clan needs a new leader after the death of Rodrigo and Dimitri.

After the emotional funeral of Fien, her father hands over an overlooked piece of evidence to Jimmy. Tom Segers and his new partner Esther Mathijs investigate the dead of Muslim refugee Arijan. He was killed when his house exploded, right after his converted wife Katrien and their baby went out.

Jimmy can't believe his ears when he discovers Lucas's commitment in the dead of Fien, and urges him to go report himself. Meanwhile the police team is busy checking on the Antwerp taxi drivers, because it seems that one of them has brutally raped multiple of his female negroid clients.

The whole team is shocked by the dead of Jimmy N'Tongo. Mike however refuses to believe his police partner has committed suicide. Tom Segers and Esther Mathijs interrogate a jeweler family, after a young man got shot with a rare gun. They claim not to be involved, until the police discover the man knew their son.

A young girl is murdered during an orgy in a local sex club. Between the crowd, her father recognizes one familiar face, who could have been involved in the girl's death. At the police station Tom Segers starts suspecting his partner Esther Mathijs of being an infiltrator for the Internal Affairs Department.

Tom Segers witnesses a bank robbery. One of the culprits proves to be a patient of Veerle Goderis. In the meantime the concerns of Lucas have changed into happiness, now his ex wife Kathy has returned into his life. Veerle however develops a plan to get rid of her.

The death of Kathy is a great shock for Lucas as well as Tom. At the police station Roel Swinnen, the substitute for the suspended Mike Van Peel, is introduced. The team tries to hunt down a man who attacks single women in their own house.
