Decades since he last merged with Ultraman, Shin Hayata learns of a new threat to Earth. His son, Shinjiro, also shows signs of superhuman strength.

Wearing a protosuit, Shin is critically injured while saving Shinjiro from Bemular's attack. In desperation, Shinjiro returns to rescue his father.

With Bemular paving the way for other alien species to attack Earth, SSSP's Edo asks Shinjiro to take on the mantle of Ultraman.

Shinjiro is sent on a mission to exterminate a hostile alien, but the target flees into the city, endangering countless civilians.

After uncovering evidence of alien involvement in a string of bizarre homicides, SSSP agent Moroboshi contacts an informant inside an alien enclave.

Shinjiro’s reluctance to execute homicidal aliens deeply concerns agent Moroboshi. Shin shares with his son what it truly means to be Ultraman.

While meeting with Rena, Shinjiro suddenly gets a call to stop a rampaging alien. Journalist Kotaro Higashi witnesses the whole incident.

Shinjiro agrees to help test out and develop a new suit better adapted to his changing powers — and he finds himself using it much sooner than planned.

He can't remember what he did, but Shinjiro's forbidden from wearing his suit for a while. His father can't help but feel that there's an Ultraman curse.

Determined to do something, Shinjiro heads out to get his revenge. But then once again, he wakes up with no memory of what happened.

Public sentiment has turned completely against Ultraman. Then suddenly, Mephisto hijacks the airwaves to deliver a message directly to the people.

Ide sends Taro and Moroboshi out to search for Shinjiro, who remains on the run, confused by everything that's been happening to him.

Back in his hideout, Daisuke Arashi tells Shinjiro about his father's past, and they try to narrow down who Mephisto's next target might be.
