Archie Menzies' funeral.

Fiona takes her son David to the Institute of Neurological Services for an examination. David's scan shows that he has a brain tumor. Meanwhile, Lily Wentworth considers Davie Sneddon's offer and Emma asks about living at the hotel. Carol asks Lyn to give a letter to Kenny but through a mix-up, Kenny never receives it.

Jocky McDonald takes over Archie Menzies' job. Ryder comes back from his trip to London and goes to see Lily who informs him, that she has made Davie Sneddon her new farm manager. Ryder then visits Fiona, who lashes out at him, due in part to his behaviour and her concern over her son, David. Carol is still upset and angry over the mix-up with the letter. Isabel and Alun agree to have dinner so that she can give him, her reasons for not seeing him. Ryder confronts Paul about his job.

Calum and Sarah are going home. Tricia thinks Effie is chasing Jocky until she is told it is the other way around. Isabel accuses Alun of being a 'couch potato' when he tells Menna to stop wasting her life. Tiffany gives Alun a massage.

Peter is annoyed that Sam spent the night at Sneddon's hospital bedside. Alun tries to talk Susan out of coming clean, but she tells Michael about them. Tiffany flirts with Peter. Sarah is angry with Gary for buying her an engagement ring.

Michael tells Isabel that Alun has gone, and she is delighted. Morag agrees to look after Sneddon as Douglas wants him out of his cottage. Tiffany reminds Eris about her beauty treatments. Eddie loses his temper with Cheryl at College.

Menna gets a letter from Alun, but Isabel is not prepared to change her attitude. Peter shows his displeasure with all of Sam's staff and appoints a new gamekeeper. Sarah and Gary are caught together in Carol's house by Mrs Mack.

Mhairi and Lachie get married. Victor Spinetti reveals his plans to rebuild Glendarroch House as a casino resort.
