Daantje has too much stuff for a weekend of sailing. Soraya and Marjolein are bummed that they're too young for the twirling competition.

Annemoon, Jochem, and Jesse are startled by a noise from Kriek's house. Mo and Gerben are sent away by Officer Spoor.

Bente has lost Jazzy and is searching for her all over the farm. Soraya and Marjolein hear they're allowed to participate in a twirling competition after all. Jesse, Jochem, and Annemoon have to cross a ditch covered only by planks.

Gerben, Mo, and Sander play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who has to complete the challenge at Kriek's house. Annemoon and Jesse cross the bridge. Jochem doesn't dare to cross the ditch.

Chantal discovers that the Vrijlanders are going to the haunted house. Mirhte is really looking forward to the vacation. Then she discovers that the boat is leaking.

The children hide when they hear a bang in Kriek's house. Daantje and Mirthe take everything out of the boat to search for the leak.

The mayor's family arrives at the Spoor home, and Chantal does everything she can to look like Valerie. When the mayor and his family later visit the village hall, something terrible happens...

A new family moves into the village to run Gruwel Geertje's old hotel. Father Toon, mother Maria, the twins Barry and Milou, and Ana and Carmen have come from Argentina to breathe new life into the hotel.

Another new face in the village is Sam. She and her mother Inge have moved to Rijland because Inge is an archaeologist working on a project in the village. And then we meet Li, who runs the junk shop with his adoptive father, Ouwe Kees.

When Alfred finally arrives and unveils the statue, everyone is astonished. The statue has a wig and sunglasses! Timon and Joep deny they did it. Alfred is in trouble; if he doesn't put Rijland on the map within three months, he'll be fired! Barry and Milou sneak upstairs and find something! Joep is shocked. Does he see the ghost of Horror Geertje behind the window?!

Timon and Joep are terrified when Gruwel Geertje appears in the garden! But who is Gruwel Geertje, really? Someone has disguised themselves! Timon and Joep are searching for a treasure, but they don't tell Sam and Marjolein. Barry later stumbles upon some metal in the garden, and Sam thinks it might be the treasure! Victor convinces Alfred not to give up. Together, they also introduce themselves to the new hotel family in Rijland.

Milou keeps asking Victor about his family. Victor doesn't like this and makes a threatening remark about Coco's permits. This frightens Milou! Timon and Joep have a plan to distract everyone so they can dig for the treasure; they trigger the hotel's fire alarm! Sam is looking for teammates to explore what's hidden in the hotel garden. Timon doesn't want to work with Sam; he wants the loot for himself!

Chaos ensues at the hotel due to the fire alarm, a burnt pan, and unexpected guests! Timon and Joep are digging against something hard—is this the treasure?! They've destroyed all the plants in the garden while digging. Barry is shocked and makes Timon and Joep prove something before they're allowed to dig any further. Chantal is looking for a job and goes to Sam to help with the investigation. But as soon as Chantal hears she'll encounter vermin, she quickly quits. And do Timon and Joep really eat worms?

Anton wants the children to care for his animals because that way it's done properly. They do have to pay rent and get their parents' permission. They're going to ask for it.

Rico catches Chantal and Pip searching for news. They talk their way out of it, but don't give up. Louis gets a heavy-duty tent from Alfred for his base camp.

Tom and Louis are allowed to pitch the tent at the farm, but it doesn't quite work out. The tent isn't quite complete. Roos comes up with a solution.

Under Milou's guidance, the children make a plan to arrange food for the animals. The deputy has news for Chantal. She has high expectations.
