The Battle Among the Clans

At the middle of the 40's, the Japanese surrendered and Hong Kong was restored after the painful war of three years and eight months. The society was still in a mess since the three leading clans among the crime syndicates were seizing for spheres of power and influence by hook or by crook. LOK CHUNG HING's follower AH WING was in indignation with CHOW HIN's clan. Since WING was under the protection of LUK HOI, the one in charge of CHUNG HING LAU, misunderstanding occurred between CHOW's clan and LOK's clan. CHOW HIN would not submit. He knocked LOK's son CHUN WAH seriously for revenge. Fortunately HONG KWAN, the adopted son of LOK saved him in time. CHOW ordered his followers to make trouble at the theatres and restaurants of LOK. LOK urgently called for a meeting of the four leading clans. He suggested making a deal of 'No bloodsheds' among the clans'. CHOW wanted the life of WING for compromise……

LOK got the message that the godfather of Shanghai Clan TANG PUI YUE was planning to expand his sphere of influence in Hong Kong. He went to probe the motives of TANG who was not threatened by LOK's name. WA BILL was promoted Senior Inspector. He exploited his office to force LOK to buy a number of Japanese rifles. LOK decided to smuggle the guns out to the high seas. Unexpectedly, the guns were robbed by the followers of NG YAT TIN on the way. KWAN was also injured. LOK, regarding the matter as serious, asked KWAN and HOI to start investigation. LOK and his wife MANG HA went together with their followers to the church to ask for blessing on their wedding anniversary. There KWAN first encountered with a nurse SHI MAY and he was attracted by her instantly. MANG HA collapsed during the Silver Anniversary celebration party. All were worrying about her and LOK tendered her all night……

KWAN was chasing after YAT TIN closely. Under no circumstances, TIN approached PUI YUE for help. PUI YUE was very angry and threatened LOK by withdrawing large amount of money from his bank. Lastly, LOK promised to forget everything. After attending KWAN's celebration banquet, LAM JOE's friends invited him to join them for fever. JOE refused due to his lonely character. On his way, he met a dancing girl PAK FU YUNG who quarreled with a driver about the fare. JOE paid him at once. FU YUNG intended to pay him back with her body but was rejected. He impressed her. One day, FU YUNG was being caught by police and she jumped into PUI YUE's car. PUI YUE found that she looked familiar. FU YUNG was embarrassed and left quickly. SHI MEI's moneybox was being seized by rascals during fund-raising activity. Fortunately, HONG KWAN was able to catch them but was hurt. SHI MEI worried. KWAN proposed for a dating but he couldn't make it at last……

LOK saved MANG HA. He suspected HONG KWAN was involved in the kidnap and arranged to kill him. After escaping from danger, KWAN questioned LOK. LOK finally understood he was being set up and was impressed by KWAN's gratefulness. On the other hand, LOK discovered LUK HOI revolted against him gradually, and decided to test him. LOK lied that because of his poor health, he would leave his business to HONG KWAN and LUK HOI. CHUN WAH did not submit. KWAN visited LOK in hospital and met SHI MEI who was looking after LOK. KWAN apologized to her but was being sneered. LOK told KWAN and HOI to deal with an illegal selling of silver coin. At the same time, he arranged someone to rob it. YAT TIN thought it was done by HOI and both turned against each other. Later, HOI realized where the coins were and was bribed over by CHEUNG KIN LEUNG to keep the secret.

In order to offer SHI MAY an apology, HONG KWAN broadcast her most favorite movie in a cinema. Unexpectedly, WAN CHI came and had intimacy actions to KWAN. MAY felt distasteful and left. Afterwards, KWAN explained to her and improved their relationship. CHUN WAH by chance discovered that SZE KWAI was delivering silver coins. He thought that they were belonged to his father, he seized away. By making a compromise, LOK and KWAI came to a more friendly relation. LOK decided to send WAH to manage his overseas business so as to avoid him from creating troubles. PUI YUE and FU YUNG in fact had a subtle relation long time ago. When they met again, YAT TIN tried to persuade YUNG to be with YUE again. However, YUNG refused and wanted to earn the living by herself. YAT TIN made use of YUNG to distract YUE's attention; he joined together with LUK HOI and CHEUNG KIN LEUNG to kill LOK……

LOK believed that betrayer should be dead and ordered HONG KWAN to kill LUK HOI. KWAN refused and felt LOK was cruel, he left home angrily. On the other hand, YAT TIN escaped. He tried to kill LUK as he thought who had betrayed him. KWAN failed to save LUK, MANG HA was sad. LOK believed that HONG KWAN was an energetic guy, he persuaded him to return in person. Though KWAN disagreed with this attitude, he helped LUK to revenge on YAT TIN due to their father and son relationship. YAT TIN was pursued by HONG KWAN and seriously hurt. At the last moment, he went to PUI YUE for help. PUI YUE wanted to start a new life with FU YUNG and left from clans struggle. He told TIN to look for PEDDAR. YAT TIN liked to flatter people and pleased PEDDAR so much. He also knew a gangster KNOR. KNOR admired TIN's bravery and intelligence, and decided to keep him as one of his man, so that he could start the battle with LOK……
